Alchemy and Life Force: Two Healing Currents, One Journey
Both Reiki and Transference Healing® offer pathways toward healing, balance, and restoration of the human system. At first glance, they are often spoken about as if they are similar, even interchangeable. Yet through lived experience, practice, and devotion to both modalities, I have come to understand that they are fundamentally different in their orientation, scope, and purpose.
Earlier on my path, I trained and practised as a Usui Fire Reiki Master and Kahuna Reiki practitioner. Reiki was my first doorway into subtle energy work, and it opened my awareness to the intelligence of energy, intention, and presence. It taught me gentleness, attunement, and the profound simplicity of allowing energy to flow where it is needed. For a time, Reiki was the primary lens through which I understood healing.
It was only later, through my own personal journey with Transference Healing®, that I began to feel the depth of difference between these two modalities. While both work with energy, they do so from entirely different cosmologies. Learning this distinction reshaped not only how I practised, but how I understood consciousness, embodiment, and spiritual evolution itself.
The reflections that follow are informed by my own experience, alongside an excerpt drawn from an article published in Exelon Magazine, titled The Difference Between Reiki and Transference Healing.
Origins and Philosophy
Reiki is a Japanese healing practice developed in the early 20th century by Mikao Usui. The word Reiki translates to “universal life energy,” reflecting the belief that a vital life force flows through all living beings. When this energy is balanced and unobstructed, the body and mind are better able to heal and regulate themselves. Reiki practitioners act as channels for this universal energy, allowing it to flow through their hands to support relaxation, reduce stress, and encourage healing.
Reiki’s philosophy is gentle and non-invasive. It does not seek to direct or manipulate energy but rather allows the intelligence of the life force to move where it is needed. This quality makes Reiki deeply accessible and widely supportive, particularly for emotional soothing, nervous system regulation, and overall energetic balance.
Transference Healing®, by contrast, is a high-frequency, alchemical healing modality channelled and developed by Alexis Cartwright. It is designed not only to support healing but to facilitate spiritual ascension and conscious evolution. Transference Healing® works with frequency, light, and matter to initiate transference, a profound shift from one state of being into another.
Rather than drawing from universal life force alone, Transference Healing® reconnects the individual directly with Spirit. Its intention is to awaken self-healing from within the deepest layers of anatomy, consciousness, and the soul blueprint. In this sense, it is not simply a healing modality but an initiatory process. At its core, it is pure alchemy.
Techniques and Practices
Reiki is most commonly experienced through hands-on or hands-near-body healing. The practitioner gently places their hands on or just above the body, allowing Reiki energy to flow into areas of need. This process can also be conducted remotely, with distance Reiki enabling the energy to reach the recipient regardless of physical location.
Advanced Reiki systems introduce sacred symbols and mantras, which are used to focus intention and amplify the healing flow. These symbols act as energetic keys, deepening the practitioner’s connection to the Reiki current and refining the quality of the transmission.
Reiki practitioners also receive attunements from a Reiki Master. These attunements open and align the practitioner’s energy channels, strengthening their ability to channel Reiki for themselves and others. Over time, Reiki supports energy balancing, emotional release, spiritual awareness, and a deep sense of calm and inner peace.
Transference Healing® operates very differently. It is a multi-level, multidimensional modality that incorporates electromagnetic field balancing, etheric body work, and lightbody activation. Sessions may include etheric surgery, harmonic alignment points, karmic pain relief, Chiron wounding repair, and the alignment of planetary and bodily magnetic grids.
Practitioners transmit precise high-frequency energies that interact directly with the subtle anatomy. These frequencies work to clear distortion, crystallise light within the body, and support the formation of the lightbody and Christbody. The work is exact, technical, and deeply intelligent, yet it unfolds beyond the mind.
A distinctive aspect of Transference Healing® is its conscious relationship with the Goddess and the restoration of balance between Feminine and Masculine Principles. This rebalancing is essential to true healing and spiritual mastery, allowing deeper wisdom, strength, and sovereignty to emerge.
Transference Healing® is also inherently ascension-focused. It supports the evolutionary process of embodying higher consciousness, anchoring light into matter, and aligning the human being with planetary and cosmic intelligence.
Focus and Outcomes
Reiki primarily supports stress reduction, relaxation, and energetic balance. It helps soothe the nervous system, release emotional tension, and encourage holistic healing across physical, emotional, and mental layers. Reiki gently fosters self-awareness, emotional clarity, and a deeper sense of connection to the universal life force.
Transference Healing® is oriented toward spiritual awakening, deep transformation, and self-mastery. It works simultaneously across physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual dimensions, addressing karmic patterns, genetic pain, and distortion at their source. Its outcomes extend beyond personal healing to include service, unity, and the evolution of human and planetary consciousness.
Both Reiki and Transference Healing® channel healing energy, yet they arise from very different frameworks and intentions. Reiki offers simplicity, comfort, and balance. Transference Healing® offers depth, precision, and transformation at the level of soul evolution.
Choosing between them is not about which is better, but about what your system is calling for. Each meets a different moment on the healing journey. Listening to that call is where true alignment begins.
